"HI. MY NAME IS BRENCE. I LIVE IN HOMESTEAD, FLORIDA.
HOMESTEAD IS SOUTH OF MIAMI. THIS IS A SMALL CITY WITH A LOT OF HISTORY. PEOPLE CAME HERE MANY YEARS AGO WHEN THERE WAS JUST SWAMPS AND MOSQUITOES AND MADE A GREAT PLACE OUT OF IT. HOMESTEAD IS NORTH OF KEY LARGO, FLORIDA.""Hi, I live in the southern state of Florida, on the Atlantic Ocean and close to the beach. There is much sun, surf, and sand in my world. There are many opportunities for recreation outside most of the year. I have only travelled to the state of GA,NY, WDC,and NJ. I am hoping to go to the Bahamas this summer. I REALLY WANT TO EXPLORE UNDER THE SEA."
I live in Orlando, Florida. In my neighborhood there are many kids to play with. At night time we (all the kids),go outside and like to play hide and go seek! or we just go swimming. We like to ride bikes to the 711, when it is hot and get slurpees. Most of the houses, but a few have pools. I am one of the luckey people to have one! Many of the houses in my neighborhood are fairly large. Almost everybody in the neighborhood is nice. One thing I like is that the movies, Mcdonalds, Subway, and 711 are within bikeriding distance! I like to ride my bike to those places with my friends!!! We also have a duck pond and a sit down park. If you are lucky in the mornings sometimes in the sit down park you can see a baby alligator sunning itself. It is very hot right now since it is summer time. So we all try and keep cool. We do this by playing in the pool, getting slurpees, staying in an air conditioned house and more. so I love where I live and so does everybody else in the neighborhood. Even if it is hot. orlando is great!!!!!!
"Hello. I live in Orlando, Florida. There are a lot of places to visit here. most people like to come here to go to Disney world. Personally I've never been there. I'm maybe the only kid in Orlando who hasn't been there, but that's ok. Aanyway I go to Boone highschool...the second best high school in all of Florida. it's a nice school. our mascot is a brave. we have a big brave head on the ground of the court yard. If you step on it you have to clean it with a toothbrush. mm... my neighborhood sucks... there are a lot of drug addicts and crazy people in my neighborhood. I hate where I live. most people think that Orlando is great. let me tell you, just because we for the most part we have a good basketball team, and a few attractions doesn't mean this place is all that great. I'm moving as soon as possible. I wanna go to Cocoa Beach, now there's a nice place to live." - anonymous
"HI MY NAME IS T.M. PEOPLE CALL ME THAT I LIVE IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA, BUT I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN Bridgeport, CT.. I LOVE THE SNOW BUT I HATE THE HOT SUMMERS I LOVE THE SUMMER BECAUSE I LOVE GOING SWIMMING BUT I STILL MISS THE WINTERS I LOVE TO DRAW, SWIM, T.V., DRAWING, EATING, SLEEPING etc."
My name is Abigail, I'm 14 and I live in Key West, Fl. Their are many tropical plants here. It's very beautiful here. If you come to visit, you will see lots of Plam Trees, though they look like they are native here, they aren't, they were brought over by humans. "I'm dreaming of a white Christimas" is only a dream here, it NEVER snows here. The all time coldest it's ever been here is 41 degrees, not what you call "white"! Key West is an island, 12 and 1/2 miles around. Key West isn't a perfect round like some people think islands are, it's an odd shape, like were most people live. I love living here, though it would be nice to see snow every once and a while. Swimming on Christmas day isn't very strange here! I've done it more then once! But in the summer, you don't even want to go outside it's sooooooooo HOT!!! Being an island, there are many beaches here. Some are much nicer then others! Even without snow, Key West is beautiful, and makes a GREAT vacation spot! Come see!
My name is Fatima Hirsi. I live in St. Petesburg, Florida. I was born in Miami, Florida, but me and my family moved. St. Pete is a wonderful place to live. There are many parks in my neighborhood. My most favorite thing about St. Pete is the Sky-Way bridge.
The Sky-Way, as I call it, is very big and beautiful. It parts the Gulf of Mexico from Tampa Bay. The only time that I must travel over the Sky-Way is when me and my family go to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. We do this at least once a month. The thing I like best about the Sky-Way is that it makes me relax. Sure, maybe the first two times it wasn't like that, but I got use to it.
Another nice place to visit is Busch Gardens. I've never really been there but I always hear that it's very wonderful.
Although you may think that I'm crazy over my home I'm not. What do you expect, I'm only turning eleven. I mean, if you really think about it, how would you feel if you had to leave your home, friends, family, and the best teacher that you ever had for a new place where you don't know any one. I don't have friends in like the ones that I had before. I guess I'm saying this because I miss my old ones. When I lived in Ft. Lauderdale, I loved every day of school. Maybe I didn't know it then , but I know it now.
P.S.
If Ingram Jr., Melissa, Ashley, Vanessa, or Miss. Prant is reading this, I REALLY MISS YOU GUYS!!!
I live in Immokalee, Florida. It is a small town in southwestern Florida. Not many people have heard of it. It is 45 minutes from Fort Myers and the same distance from Naples. It is not on the beach. Most of the people who live here are either Mexican, Haitian, or Guatemalan. Caucasion people (like me) are the minority. Many people are migrant farm workers. They pick tomatoes, oranges, green peppers, and other crops. We have 5 elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. We only have one grocery store. We don't have any malls, movie theatres, zoos, or museums. We did get a nice community pool recently, though. The climate is very warm and humid most of the year. We have many palm trees and other tropical plants. In my backyard we have 5 orange trees, 2 tangerine trees, 1 lime tree, lots of bananas trees, and some pineapple plants.
