This mysterious picture appeared in the big dog edition of the ZuZu web site. The following stories (and more) were submitted electronically from places around the world.
There was a group of explores on a submarine. Two were scientests named Bob Smith and Jay Peterson. These two were studying the ocean. One day Bob tried out an old diving suit but he could not quite reach the ocean floor, so as he dangled, he watched Jay do the research. As he was working, he found an oddly shaped clump of seaweed. Jay lifted it up and saw a chest. He got it open to find over a billion dollers of gold. By that time Bob had gone to sleep. When they were back on the submarine Jay showed it to everyone and they all divided it up evenly. Once they were done there was one piece left. They flipped it to see if it would go to a museum or back where Jay found it. Bob flipped it and it landed on where Jay had to put it back. After doing so they went back to port.
The DiveA dive is classic, a dive is fun, just be home on the run. Lets go down into the deep. Then I realized I'm asleep!
The ChestOne boring summer day by the sea, me and a friend wanted to
go snorkeling. While we were in the water my foot hit something
hard. We went to go see what it was. It was a sunken ship.
"Fresh" I said, "Why don't we go and see what is in the ship."
"OK" Randelle said.
We had to be careful not to break anything knowing that this
ship was old. Randelle and I went in silently. I dont know how
long it was, Randelle started pulling me toward an opening in the
bottom of the ship. At one side there was nothing but junk,
but on the other side was a chest, so we swam over to the chest.
When we opened the chest we could not believe our eyes.
What was in the chest was gold!!!!!!!! We had to blink our eyes
twice to make sure we were seeing right. Now I said to my self we
better go up for breath and so we went to the surface. We were thrashing
around the water screaming "We are rich" over and over.
Then we swam to the shore, got some bags, then went back to the sunken
ship. It is a good thing we remembered where it was because with all that
excitement, I was afraid we were going to forget.
After we got to the chest, we gathered as much gold as
we could carry. Then we went to shore and got some more bags.
The bags filled with gold were in a small room that my parents
said for noone but me to touch.
"Randelle" I said I don't think after this bag we should take
anymore."
"I agree" she said.
So we got another bag filled. Boy, were we relieved
to get those heavy bags off our shoulders!
Then I said "Lets trade some of this in and go to the mall."
"Okay" But first she said let's rest awhile."
" Okay" I said noticing that I was also tired, too. "Then we
will do this tommorow"

One day a couple of friends decided to go diving in the Forbidden Sea of Scary Monsters. They were diving and one of the divers saw what looked like a piece of gold. He went down and picked it up only to find out it was a part of the 200 year old treasure from the ship "Forbidden Monster." They then found the chest full of gold coins and silver ones to. They got a piece of rope and tied it around the chest. When they got home they opened it and researched everyone of those coins were real. One thing that was wrong was that none of them have ever researched a gold or silver coin to see if it was real or not. When they brought it to the Smithsonian Institute to put it on display, the scientists said that they were bogus. They tried to find out where they had come from and they found out that their so called friend had put them there when they were not looking. They were never again friends and now all the scientists are out in the Forbidden Sea of Scary Monsters.
If...If I lived under the ocean, and I was a shark or a dolphin, and I a saw a shark bigger than me, then I would shrink and be tougher than the big shark. Then I would grow and be bigger than the ocean, so if the shark ate me I would be bigger than the shark's body and his stomach would have a hole in it.
AdventureOnce a upon time there were two divers. One day they were diving in some water that never been in. They deep under the water, deeper than they had ever gone before. As they reached the bottom they found a sunken treasure. When they opened the treasure they found lots of gold and riches. After they got the treasure out of the water, they split the treasure and both became very rich.
THE FEARI swallowed hard. Why had I told Stiff I wanted to go diving? I'd only gone once before and since that day I'd had a fear. You see I'd almost drown. Well anyway, Stiff was my friend, I couldn't turn a friend down. I got on my diving gear and dove down. We swam and saw the most beautiful things, like coral reefs and clown fish. We swam deeper and deeper into the almost black ocean waters. Then in a quick instant, we found a cave, a dark cave. "Come on Kyle", he called to me as he swam into the cave. "I don't think we should go in", I radioed back thru my mouth piece. "What's the matter, are you scared?" He asked. "No way!" I answered as I swam into the murky waters of the cave. Just then, unexpectedly, Stiff disappeared. I swam forward to see where he was, but I didn't get very far, because a giant arm wrapped around me tightly. It squeezed tighter and tighter. I gasped for breath. It loosened and revealed Stiff behind the arm of a rather large squid. "Stiff!" I yelled wildly. I swam out of the cave, but Stiff didn't follow. Only the squid followed with Stiff's head, not his own. "Help me!", it cried, as Stiff's head turned into the squid's. I darted to the surface, and quickly sailed away. Since then, I haven't returned to the ocean, and Stiff was never seen again.
Under the SeaOnce there was two boys. One was named John and the other Peter. They lived near the ocean and often went scuba diving. Their parents told them never to go diving without an adult around but they didn't listen. One day, when they were diving they found a treasure chest. Their air tanks were almost out of oxygen so they went back to the surface. The next day they went diving again. They pried open the treasure chest and found it to be filled with gold. All of the sudden their air tanks were out of air and they were left gasping for air. Then a submarine came by and rescued them. They brought the gold with them. When they got home their parents were glad to see them but mad that the boys disobeyed them. As a punishment the boys had to give the gold to the men on the submarine. After that John and Peter never disobeyed their parents again.
Tug of WarJACK AND MARCI, MARINE BIOLOGISTS, WERE SEARCHING THE OCEAN FLOOR FOR RARE FISH AND CORAL WHEN JACK'S FOOT GOT STUCK BETWEEN SOME CORAL. AS MARCI SWAM BELOW HIS FOOT TO GET HIM LOOSE SHE SAW THE TOP OF A RUSTY CHEST STICKING OUT FROM THE BENEATH THE OCEAN FLOOR. SHE BROKE OFF THE CORAL HOLDING JACK'S FOOT AND POINTED TO THE CHEST. THEY STARTED TO DIG IT OUT. HALF WAY THROUGH A SUBMARINE DROVE PAST THEM STOPPING TO LOOK AT THE CHEST 16 MINUTES LATER THE SUB RETURNED. IT TURNED A BRIGHT LIGHT ON THE CHEST. BY NOW JACK AND MARCI HAD IT UNCOVERED AND WERE ABOUT TO OPEN IT. THE LOCK WAS OLD AND CAME LOOSE EASILY. THE TOP OF THE CHEST SWUNG OPEN AND REVIELED A HEAP OF GOLD AND JEWELS THE SUB MUST HAVE SAW THIS BECAUSE A ROBOTIC ARM CAME DOWN AND LATCHED ONTO THE CHEST. A NEARBY OCTOPUS ALSO GRABBED THE CHEST AND PULLED THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. JACK HELPED PULL THE CHEST BACK FROM THE ROBOTIC ARM WHILE MARCI SWAM TO THE SURFACE FOR HELP. JUST AS MARCI RETURNED WITH HELP THE ROBOTIC ARM SNAPPED IN TWO. THE CREW PULLED THE CHEST TO THE BOAT AND DISCOVERED IT WAS THE BURIED TREASURE OF KING DOUGLAS THE THIRD.
The CreatureSally and Greg were scuba diving one day when they thought about how fun it would be to go on a treasure hunt. Sally went deep. As deep as she could. Greg stayed up near shore to look out so no one would follow Sally. As Greg lay on the top on the water he started to fall asleep. He drifted off. Meanwhile Sally was still on the bottom when a big creature came into the water, splashing like crazy. She didn't notice at the time what it was but she was sure that it was really big. The only thing she worried about was where Greg was. She went closer to the bottom of the ocean when she turned around and saw a big hungry looking face staring at her. She swam as fast as her little legs could go. As she was swimming she saw something that looked like gold. "What is it?" She asked herself forgetting the big creature was right next to her. As she screamed and swam at the same time she saw a big metal chest. She unlocked it and it magically opened. It was gold! It was her treasure! She grabbed some gold and floated up to the top. Then all of a sudden the big creature chased after her. When she got to the top she could see Greg floating." Greg! What are you doing?" she yelled out. He didn't anwser then she saw the big creature on Greg left side. "No! Don't eat him! Please don't eat him!" she yelled with anger to the creature. She tossed and turned, Then finally she woke up. " Oh! It was just a dream!" and she went outside to play with Greg.
The Friendly WarningA long time ago, a treasure was lost. Everyone thinks that it was a pirate's who threw it overboard to lighten the ship, but no one knows. No one knows where it is, either. Then, some time later a submarine comes down named the Arcomy. Ther is a sonar and two scuba divers in it named Hank and Linny. They were searching for a sunken ship. But they stumbled on a treasure instead. Hank said,"Hey, Linny I think I found something here, come over." "What is it?" Linny said in great amazement. "It looks like a treasure box to me." responded Hank. They brought it up on the submarine and then they got it on land. They looked on the back and they saw a note. It read: Who ever gets this note do not open. This is a friendly warning. Remember, do not open!! Hank and Linny where very confused. They did not know what to do. After two days of thinking, they agreed upon opening the treasure. But in that period of time, in their mail box they got letters saying, "Do not open the treasure box!!" Hank called Linny and said,"Hey Linny have you been getting strange letters?" "Yeah, have you been getting them too?" said Linny. "Yes," responded Hank. At the secret place where they will open the treasure, unwelcomed guests followed them to the secret place. Linny had a cell phone and called for help. Some robbers said, "Hand over the treasure or you die!" Lenny said," We will give you the treasure in trade for our safe return." They agreed. As soon as Hank and Linny were safe the police came and arrested the thieves. But one of them threw out the treasure. Linny was the only person who did not look worried. At Hank's house Linny told Hank this. "In the few seconds that we had, I managed to open the box without any one knowing. I took out all jewels in the box and put them in my pocket with out then noticing." "Well Linny," said Hank, "I didn't even hear you take them out either!" Linny said,"Do you what to split up the treasure?" Hank agreed. They got the treasure and the thieves were gone. And everything was fine since.
Show me the TreasureOne day a couple of divers went for a dive. They just did this for fun. They thought nothing could ever happen to them. But 2 days ago they ran into a submarine. They didn't return. The police sent investigators down to check it out. They found a treasure chest they came back just in time to let the news out. Then the sub got them and kept them as prisoners. They just wanted the treasure all for themselves. The police all came in squads. They let free the prisoners but they came to jail. I understand that they just wanted the treasure for them but what was inside the treasure? Was it money? Was it gold? Silver? Diamonds? Pearls? We asked them theese questions, but they said they didn't look we tried to find out but the treasure chest was empty. They said it was much heavier when they found it. Who has the riches? Who has the treasure? Well, you should no because now the treasure belongs to you.
Show me the TreasureOnce day they had this girl named Karen she was looking under water for a treasure that people were talking about. Her friend named Travis was not too smart. So Travis said he wanted to go under water with her she said yes you came come long you don't act stupid. So Travis just drive in the water and they start to look and they saw millons of fish swim right by them . Travis had jumped up and got scared and karen said it's just fish like it going to bite you . And then Travis start to move so weed and they was the treasure. And he call Karen he said "I found the treasure!" and she said "Stop lying" he said "come look for yourself". And she came and she you did find it. So they both picked it up and brought it to land . Karen said she was sorry for calling you stupid and everything else. After that karen and travis lived happy.
The Dangerous Treasure HuntOnce long ago, there was a merman named James Gill who was very greedy and very bad. So, one day James thought to himself, "What if I could rule the entire ocean?" That night he dremt of all the things that he could do if he could rule the ocean. When he woke up he had a plan. He would sneak into King Fin's palace and plant a bomb and blow up the king, and because the king had no son or daughter, James would become the new KING. Lucky thing the King was on vacation, so instead he stole ALL the kings treasure and hid it in his hideout at the bottom of the ocean. While he was finding a hiding place down there a giant clam came up and ate him and all of the treasure. Then at the same time a fisherman accidentally dumped a load of chemicals ontop of the clam. Now at the bottom of the ocean many people are trying to find the treasure, but because of the chemicals, whom ever touches the clam will Die instantly !!!
The StoryAn astronaut accidentally fell into the ocean and was nearly swallowed by an octopus. A submarine which was going nearby saw the octopus trying to swallow the astronaut. They sent the scuba diver inside the ocean. Then he also found the treasure, which was actually not treasure, but only fish inside.
Bug-Eyed BillThere was a man who wanted to go scuba diving, his name was Bug-Eyed Bill. He wanted to go scuba diving so he did and in the process he met a man and killed him with a pick. I bet that hurt a lot. Then the man Bug Eyed Bill killed came back and killed him. Then the man went scuba diving with no scuba gear, and died from a starfish attack. There were swarms of them just biting and kick with their 5 legs. Then he died, but came back alive and fried the fish; sold them to a fish market and went on with his life. Until Bug Eyed Bill came back for revenge, cause he had teamed up with the starfish. They killed him with a tooth pick; sold him to the flea market and everybody in the world came to eat a piece of him, with a tooth pick!
THE UNDERSEA WORLD One day there was a very nice man. He was a deep sea diver. He didn't have any family
because he was so afraid of losing them. His mother and father died in an accident but no one
actually told him what accident it really was. He was at his breakfast table reading the
newspaper like he always does every morning, when he suddenly read that when the
administration of sea stuff set off the sound waves too check if there was something wrong
in the sea they found out there was something down there. It said that the administration of
sea stuff was going to call some deep sea diver to check it out.
Right then at that minute the phone rang. As you probably suspected it was the
administration of sea stuff telling him to check that sea stuff under the sea.
He ran (well he actually drove) there immediately. They said "Frank (that was his name)
you better check that out right now!" So he did. He was pretty scared while he was putting
his suit on but then he got over it. When he got deeper and deeper into the sea.
He saw it. It was an undersea world! But he also saw a treasure of gold about 3 miles
away from it. So should he go after the gold and be rich. He could just tell the scientists
about the undersea world or should he explore it.
THE UNDERSEA WORLD part II
He decided to explore the undersea world. When he went in he had to go through a
bubble surrounding it. There were many poeople there. He asked a woman what place this was.
She said it was called Azlandia. he was amazed by all this. Suddenly he saw Steve Palomani,
Sabrina Crastosa, and Cory Lasto. The whole world thought they drowned in the sea but they
were here all along. They all went to see him and told him that the real world must never
learn about this world so he decided to stay in Azlandia and have wonderful adventures in
the deep deep sea.
Once upon a time, there was two guys there names were Ashlin and Tyler they made alot of trouble. They loved to swim and do anything in the water. Then one day they were playing in the water and saw something at the bottom. They did't know what it was. So the next day they told their mom & dad. They said," Yeah and I live on Mars." Ashlin ask if they could go diving. Tina, their mom said,"Yeah why not." And they went diving. they found some treasure. And they live happly ever after. THE END
THE UNDERSEA WORLDAs the coral below me floats in the water I glide down toward it. The rays of the deep blue ocean surround me as I come closer to the bottom. I look ahead and see something through the plants at the bottom. I come closer and I find out It's a trunk so detailed indeed. I become filled with the thought of whats inside. I thought of what I should do about this trunk. I send a call out to the submarine I came here on. A few minutes later help was on the way and I got lifted with the trunk onto the submarine and we opened it. The Trunk was filled with gold, gold and more gold just flowing out of it. WOW everyone gave me a pat on the back and from there on I was happy.
