On the coast of Canada,
Where the seagulls cry,
There is a small and joyful town,
Home to my friends and I.
Down by the waterfront,
The boats come to and fro,
While fishermen and jiggers,
Are preparing to go.
This brings us to my neighbourhood,
A lively, friendly place,
Where everyone, everywhere,
Wears a smile upon their face.
Young children running all about,
Up and down the street,
And everyday there always is,
A new person to meet.
Sometimes I wonder,
How different it would be,
If my friends and I,
Were living in a different place,
A different time,
And different families.
