There are many so-called hang outs in New York City, from pizza parlors to the movies. But, if you want to spend a more glamorous night on the town, try dining at one of the trendy mid-town cafes.

Planet Hollywood has great food and a wide selection of movie props and costumes to look at. Oh, and while you're there, look out for your fave movie star. Who knows? He or she might be there. Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger are owners of Planet Hollywood. Look for them behind the bar, where they often guest star.

If you're into that old time rock and roll, the kind of music that soothes your soul, take a trip down to the Hard Rock Cafe, which started it all. It was the first of the "theme" cafes. The people are really friendly and it's got great food. As you exit, check out the guitar shaped bar.

All you motorcycle lovers scoot on over to the Harley-Davidson Cafe. The food is not that great, but you can check out the cool motorcycles. Before you leave, have your picture taken on a real Harley.

Last, but not least, is the Fashion Cafe. Three world renowned super models own it, contribute their favorite recipes and even waitress at the Fashion Cafe. These three beauties are Elle MacPherson, Naomi Campbell, and Claudia Schiffer. The food is great, and I highly recommend the Fashion Burger, which is a veggie burger. - Christina

New York City is a big city and there is plenty to do. Many enjoy and want to know more about night life. My personal favorite is the Fashion Cafe. When you first arrive there, be prepared Ð the line can be long. But it is definitely worth the wait. When you first step in you see a mannequin of Marilyn Monroe in a beautiful dress. (This is kind of like Planet Hollywood.) All around the restaurant are clothes. A lot of the models got donations from not only models' clothes but also from actresses. There is everything from Naomi Campbell's purple platforms to Sophia Loren's huge black hat from the movie Pret-a-Porter, to Audrey Hepburn's black dress from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Remember, though, that this is a restaurant, and they do have very good food. There is a wide selection and the waitresses and waiters are very polite. There is also a room with a runway for parties at night when famous people come. I recommend this place, especially with a group of friends. - Bliss
