My name is Kimberly. I live in Huntington Beach, Calif. I like to go to the beach and sometimes I take my dog Cody. Cody and I play in the sand and run in the water. I like to build sandcastles and Cody likes to dig holes in the sand. I like to look for sea shells and Cody likes to chase birds. There are lots of kids at the beach in the summer, so its easy to make new friends. Sometimes the kids I meet are from other places far away and its fun to talk to them. The beach is a great place to spend the summer.
Hi, my name is Chalon Baumann. I am 13 years old and I live in Huntington Beach, California, where Kimberly lives. Only I live right next to Fountain Valley. In the summer you can do a lot of things besides go to he beach: Ride bikes, climb trees, shop at one of the many Orange county malls, and just about everything else! I go to a cuuntry club in Fountain Valley called Los Cabelleros. They have a huge pool and a lot of other neat stuff. Right across from the club there is my gym. That's where I take gymnastics. It's a huge, well-known Christian gym called New Hope Academy. So, as you can see, there is a lot more to do than the beach!
