This is a portrait of my pal, Linda Benswanger. She founded Mozayiks, a company actually pays people to smash dishes all day.
She and other hammer-wielding artisans make fantastic mosaic birdbaths, frames, vases and lots of other cool things that end up in
fancy houses. That's her tile-chompin' pooch, Ruby.
